Home Poetry Merchandise Order Form PhotosKUDZU COWBOY

Welcome to the Home Page of
the Kudzu Cowboy---a.k.a. Eddy Leverett!

Eddy Leverett, cowboy poet, musician, author, and humorist was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama.  While growing up on a farm, his interest in horses and cattle soon made him a victim of the lure of rodeo.

Eddy got on his first bareback horse at age 16, and eventually worked every rodeo event (except barrel racing).

These days he is content to make a few team roping jackpots and entertain with his music, stories and verse.  Besides being a veteran rodeo hand, he operates a horse trading business, owns and operates his own cattle farm, and continues to produce roping events.  Most of his entertainment antics has been inspired from his livestock professions, wrecks and all.

The Kudzu Cowboy has performed for numerous agricultural and livestock banquets and programs all over the southeast, as well as the Georgia Cowboy Poetry Gathering '97 and '99, all regional IPRA Finals in Bowling Green KY, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville, the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko NV, and many, many more.  His songs and poetry can also be heard on public radio WSMC in Chatanooga TN.

Eddy Leverett holds fast to cowboy legacy....a true stickler for tradition.  Cowboy poetry is as true to cowboy life as roping cows and breaking horses.  Cowboys have always enjoyed sharing their stories of the trail with one another in truly entertaining ways like poetry and song.  Stop in and try a sampling of Eddy's poetry.  Come back often as we will be posting new material on a regular basis.
