dbtech Partners with HiWAAY Internet Services

dbtechnology Internet Services, based in Tuscaloosa, has merged with HiWAAY Internet
Services, which has its headquarters in Huntsville. This partnership will allow
the two companies to combine resources, resulting in expanded services for their
customer base. HiWAAY has offices and server co-location facilities in Huntsville
and Birmingham and provides Internet access, as well as other residential and
business services, primarily in Alabama.
Redge Swing, HiWAAY's general manager, said the dbtech Tuscaloosa office will remain and the dbtech personnel will be a part of the new, expanded team. "The Tuscaloosa dbtech office will provide a local physical presence for HiWAAY customers to use in west Alabama," he said. "The Birmingham and Huntsville staff of HiWAAY will work closely with the team members from dbtech to provide the best possible service to all customers."

HiWAAY's network is triple redundant and reliable and will provide more and faster Internet backbones for dbtech customers as a result of the partnership, Swing explained.
